Context / Description:

As part of our company’s strong development plan, a Business Development unit has been created whose role is to create, maintain and operate a database of the +-10,000 largest companies present in Africa. The unit is a strategic link in Actiss Africa, providing prospection and sales meetings, preparation of development plans, knowledge of market issues, and operational marketing support to the partners in charge of the countries, to help them roll out the business development plan. 

Become the boss of the Business Development unit of Actiss Africa: constitution and management of the team, construction and exploitation of the prospecting, marketing and digital communication database

The position is based in Senegal or Ivory Coast.

Your Missions:

Create then manage the Business Development Unit

1) The Business Development cell must quickly be composed, in addition to the manager, of 3-4 positions of English-speaking and French-speaking junior operators.

2) In year 1, each operator must generate prospecting contacts every day (by email, by telephone, by Linkedin, etc.), 

In year 2 we direct the team towards more economic intelligence, i.e. identification of potential issues regarding the database’s prospects and making contact.

The CRM must be kept up to date.

The manager must ensure that these objectives are achieved every day

3) The manager must directly take charge of operational marketing/communication (management of social networks, webinars, newsletters, website, events, etc.) with the support of partners (mainly for content production)

Your profile:

  • Coming from higher education, you have several years of experience, for example in Customer Services positions in service companies, or as call center manager.

  • You also have know-how in digital business development/digital communication

  • You are recognized for your ability to manage a small team and achieve the expected results with it.

  • You understand business issues in terms of management, your economic culture is real, as is your knowledge of the different processes within a company.

  • Both curious, loving contact, but at the same time rigorous and methodical, you are a “war machine” that delivers results

  • You are comfortable using a CRM, videoconferencing and office tools, and of course social networks and communication tools.
