Interim Management is growing in Taiwan- case of CDP solution:
Looking at Taiwan, this small island, from a global perspective. There is an appropriate pronoun – “The Island of Technology”.
Nowadays, Taiwan is almost equated with the global semiconductor, wafer foundry, and AI chips industries. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s strength in information software cannot be underestimated. From Data Mining, Big Data Analysis, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), to CDP (Customer Data Platform) combined with Gen AI (generative AI). “Data Technology” in Taiwan is fast growing
Amid the shortage of CDP talents, Taiwan’s labor market has gradually turned to Interim Management instead of full-time permanent hiring.

5070 interim managers, CDP experts, open the door of AI for Taiwanese enterprises!
CDP is like the brain of a company which can collect, integrate, manage, and analyse customer data. CDP uses these data to create a personalised customer experience. Beyond Data Mining, CRM, and Big Data analysis, CDP is connected to Gen AI which helps enterprises to understand their customers more effectively and provides customer-centric Business model strategies for better services.
Here is a Real Case in Taiwan:
The CDP expert takes action, The data turns into gold! —a successful case of CDP for a Taiwan enterprise.
A successful case of how CDP helps a leading Taiwan e-commerce platform, Company E, to transform. By implementing the application of CDP, Company E built up a data-driven marketing strategy and significantly improved sales performance.
Most companies don’t understand that CRM (system) is just a part of CDP. The real value of CDP lies in mining the hidden information of data, maximising the performance of data, and more effectively predicting customer consumption behaviour.
CDP expert helps Company E to implement CDP which successfully reintegrates customer data and creates a data-driven marketing strategy.
Traditional client grouping management distinguishes levels through subjective impressions or consumption situations. However, in the end, the average consumption amount is often lower than expected, and the group judgment is also easily affected by extreme values. Consuming recommendations fails to meet customer needs, which affects the customer’s consumption experience.
The results of Company E’s implementation of CDP are,
1. CDP redivides the company’s customer audiences into groups, and uses AI analysis and prediction to automatically label and group customers to form a prediction module.
2. CDP helps company marketers understand customer value and then customise product recommendations and promotion plans that are closer to customer needs.
CDP expert provides key CDP application techniques
With the help of the CDP expert, Company E quickly integrated multi-channel data such as app, line official account, CRM, ERP, and other data resources to sort out the consumption profile of a single base customer.
In addition, providing the calculation of data indicators including conversion probability, predicted lifetime value, silent customer activation rate, churn rate, etc.
Use AI analysis and prediction functions to formulate communication strategies for new and old customers, and automatically label and group customers. As if the company has undergone “target therapy,” it effectively reduces advertising communication barriers and greatly increases marketing intensity.
The result of the implementation of CDP for Company E is, the new customer conversion rate has increased by 19 times, and the average order amount of new customers has also increased by 52%.

In February 2024, SCG organised a workshop for German companies in Spain regarding “working time models”.
In April 2024, we held an in-person workshop for interim managers and new freelancers, to explain the opportunities and challenges of being an interim manager. The objective of this seminar/workshop is to delve deeper into the topic of Interim Management and familiarise interim managers or executives who plan to take the step towards self-employment with the risks and opportunities that this type of work entails. We were also able to share our knowledge and experience with this type of work, providing guidance on the legal framework, personal branding, fees and rates, etc.
We have also incorporated Daniel Alonso Giménez to extend our presentation in Spain with an office in Madrid starting 2024.

The Market in Germany is Strong...
The market situation for interim management in Germany: some facts and expectations for 2024 Based on the data, just published from our branch association DDIM*, the market for interim management in Germany is large and healthy.
If we focus on the executive segment of the market (interim manager of the 1st and 2nd management level), we count this year around 12.000 interim leaders. They use on average 91% of their yearly maximal capacity and work 164 man-days. Calculating an average man-day rate of EUR 1.358 (including provider margin) the total market will represent today a volume of EUR 2,9 billion.
Provider play an important role in the German market. Especially in the executive segment, 42 % of all assignments are realised through professional provider agencies. The same amount is acquired directly through the interim executives. Other channels, e.g. social media or recruiting companies account only for 17%. Interesting: the trend of the later switch from an interim into a permanent contract is definitely rising. The lack of permanent candidates and the decreasing age of interim executives may be reasons for this.
It is no surprise, that the “classical” lines of business in Germany —automotive including the tier 1- 3, heavy and light machinery – account for the majority of all interim assignments. By task, restructuring activities, change management and process optimization dominate currently the demand. SMB’s (small and medium sized businesses) show the largest need for interim management. Most executive roles, executed through interim managers, are senior management, commercial tasks and (technical) operations.
The German market for interim management is well developed. Is has now a history of roughly 40 years. As a strategic and operational tool beside executive search and consulting, interim management is seen as an established instrument in a professional human resources management of leading German companies.
